I thought to myself 'why would there be a sub shop right next to subway'. Then I ate there. Blows subway out of the water. So, no wonder. If you want a great tasting sub, there is really only one option... Silver Mine.

Silver Mine Subs on Daniel St in Champaign is the best sub shop I have been to. All their bread is baked daily, through out the day. I love walking in there in between classes and smelling the bread baking away. They are extremely fast. My sandwich is usually done, wrapped, and bagged by the time I finish paying. They slice all their own meats and cheeses too. Unlike the closest competition (who is so far in the backfield they shouldn't even be considered a contender) they have hot subs (Cripple Creek! Mmm Mmm good), salads, soups, and chili. I highly recommend them if in a hurry and you actually care about the quality of your sandwiches. They are also very affordable as well!!!
